The Summit Auction Group as an entity is
relatively new; however, its owners and management team are long-time
veterans of the auction industry. As a company, we take pride in working
with everyone fairly and honestly. Whether you are buying or selling, we
appreciate the opportunity to serve you. We believe you will find our
staff to be fully qualified to assist you in a timely and professional
manner. Our experience in the auction business spans the country
geographically and crosses the continuum of asset types - real estate,
collectibles, art, antiques, cars, aircraft, primitives, furniture,
petroliana, machinery, business equipment and so much more.
The management team members of Summit Auction Group are well educated
and have spent nearly
all of their professional careers in the auction business. Between the
four owners, they hold three bachelor degrees and two associate degrees
covering fine arts, international marketing, finance and sale and
marketing. Innovative ideas, sound business practices and
technologically advanced methods have been learned through education and
experience and are incorporated into all Summit Auction Group events.
Most of their professional experience
was gained while employed by Kruse International, one of the larger
collector car and real estate auction companies in the country. During
their tenure with Kruse, eBay purchased Kruse International. Each of the
team members considers this time to be the most important in their
business careers. Learning the policies, procedures and inner-workings
of eBay was invaluable. The core staff of Summit Auction Group has
served Kruse in a variety of positions including: marketing, finance,
computer systems, event management, advertising, sale lineup and
management including COO.
During their tenure with Kruse, they spearheaded many of the company’s
most recent innovations and significant sales. Jeff Doner, the president
and founder of Summit Auction Group was responsible for the management
and coordination of all real estate and estate/collection auction
activities (accounting for listings and/or sales of over $100,000,000)
and select business liquidations. He was heavily involved in; sales,
contracting, client relations, financial analysis, market research and
advertising development, due diligence packaging and presentation,
broker relations and event scheduling. He was responsible for pioneering
real estate auctions via satellite in 1988 and Internet broadcasting of
personal property sales in 1997. Doner managed all aspects of many of
the company’s largest and most successful estate auctions including:
contracting, client management, market research and advertising
development, event staffing, scheduling, inventory management, loting
and auction sequencing, description and photography, computer
management, Internet broadcasting, sale reconciliation and client
settlement. As a completely cross-trained and veteran staff member of 19
years, Jeff Doner saw the need to expand his personal horizons and
believed the market was in need of a new auction company.
Summit Auction Group is a new company; but over the past 20 years,
hundreds of auctions and hundreds of millions of dollars in inventory of
all type have been transferred with the assistance of the management
team of Summit Auction Group.
The Mission of
Summit Auction Group
Facilitating the transfer of assets in a professional, honest and timely
